Gillian Dykeman (she/her) is a contemporary feminist artist working in performance, installation, video, sculpture, and drawing. Based in New Brunswick alongside the Wolastoq, she makes collaborative and participatory art through an intersectional feminist and postcolonial lens.
Her work has shown up in galleries, exercise studios, a rare book library, and a geodesic dome across Vienna, Los Angeles, Anchorage, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, and throughout Atlantic Canada. She holds an MVS from U of T and a BFA from NSCAD.
Dykeman teaches at the New Brunswick Community College of Design and has produced and hosted a podcast. As a queer, neurodivergent parent, these lived experiences shape her artistic practice and teaching. She’s always up for collaboration and conversations about art.
